Ingredients
4 pork chops
4 green onions, trimmed and finely sliced
garlic to taste
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp ketchup
1 cup apple cider
1/8 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
pepper and salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Trim the fat and pierce pork chops on both sides.
Step 2
Prepare marinade by combining all other ingredients. Pour into a casserole or sealable plastic bag. Add pork chops turning to coat both sides.
Step 3
Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, turning pork chops once or twice.
Step 4
Cook pork chops by your preferred method (barbeque or oven), basting frequently with the marinade.
Serve with roasted sweet potatoes, baked beans, broccoli to complete your meal.
